Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:
Nursing home administration is a specialized area of medical and health services management. Typical duties of nursing home administrators include overseeing staff and personnel, financial matters, medical care, medical supplies, facilities, and other duties as specific positions as possible demand.

Salary:
The median annual NHA salary is $106,410 with a range usually between $94,739-$118,546, however this can vary widely depending on a variety of factors.

Education:
Being a nursing home administrator requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. However, most nursing home administrators have master’s degrees in long term care administration, health services administration, public health or buisness administration.

Demand for this Profession:
In order to become a nursing home administrator you must lead in all ares, be a people person, get a handle on paperwork, fight for the facility, and understand medical issues.

I enjoy taking care of others. I think becoming a nursing home administrator is the perfect job for that. They care for others.
