Pathologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical pathologist are physicians who specialize in diagnosing and studying diseases using laboratory methods. As a pathologist, you might examine and diagnose body fluids, such as blood and urine, or tissues from biopsies and Pap smears, to diagnose disease. You may possibly perform autopsies to determine a cause of death.
Salary:
The average Pathologist salary is $195,586.
Education:
In order to become a pathologist, you must have done 4 years in college, to get a bachelor’s degree, 4 years of medical school, to get the doctor of medicine degree, 4 or 5 years of residency to become eligible to take the Board exams in pathology.
Demand for this Profession:
You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions, good problem solving skills, recognize visual patterns, etc. to become a pathologist.
Reflection:
I dont think that I would be a good pathologist. I dont think I have the skills needed to become one.
