Physical Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Physical therapists, sometimes called PTs, help injured or ill people improve their movement and manage their pain. These therapists are often an important part of rehabilitation, treatment, and prevention of patients with chronic conditions, illnesses, or injuries.
Salary:
The median annual wage for physical therapists was $85,400 in May 2016. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $58,190, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $122,130.
Educaton:
Physical therapists need a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. All states require physical therapists to be licensed.
Demand for this Profession:
Having compassion, detail oriented, dexterity, interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and resourcefulnes are very important qualities.
Reflection:
I like helping others although I don’t think this is the profession for me.
