Army Physical Therapy Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:
A physicial therapy specialist supervises or administrated physical therapy to decrease physical disabilities and promotes physical fitness for patients. They also instruct personnel in the prevention of injuries.

Salary:
Physical Therapist salaries at US Army can range from $73,722-$79,708. This estimate is based upon 1 US Army physical therapist report(s) provided by employees or based upon statistics methods.  

Education:
You must have an active duty / doctoral program in physical therapy. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in biological sciences, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, physics, social sciences or statistics.Minimum overall GPA requirements of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.Minimum cumulative score of 1000 on the GRE (or 297 on the new GRE scale).Minimum GRE verbal score of 450.
At least 100 volunteer observation hours in a physical therapy clinic
Between 21 and 40 years of age U.S. citizenship.

Demand for this Profession:
In order to become an army physical therapy specialist you must be willing  to help and care for others. You need to have the ability to communicate effectivley and work under stressful conditions.  Paying attention to detail is also very important. These are helpful skills to have while being a physical therapy specialist.

Reflection:
I might consider being an Army physical specialist one day. After all i do like helping others out. I would be willing to care for others. Although I’’m not sure if i can watch really dangerous accidents.
