Duties and Responsibilities:
A naturopathic doctor is a type of health care provider who treats patients using a system of medicine that is based on the healing power of nature. Like contemporary medical doctors, naturopathic treatment practicioners identify, diagnose, and treat patients for their conditions and illnesses.
Salary:
Naturopathic physicians earn a median hourly wage of $35.92. Hourly wages typically start from $18.96 and go up to $65.36. They earn a median salary between $80,000 and $90,00 per year.
Education:
In order to become a doctor of Naturopathy, students must complete a 4 year, graduate level program accredited by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education. The firts two years of a Naturopathic medical degree are the same as for traditional medical students.
Demand for this Profession:
You must be licensed by the state to peactice medicine. You must have experience of 2-5 years. Key skills; Observation, listening, problem solving, ability to use medical and theraputic equipment to diagnose and administer theraputic treatment.
Reflection:
I don’t really think I would want to become a naturopathic doctor.
